"Look Me in the Eye", I found to be a good and insightful biography, so far, that I am thouroghly enjoying. -

Thu, October 25, 2007 - 3:37 PM"Running with Scissors" is waaaay freakier than "Look Me in the Eye". Both books share a little over-lap from each of the two brothers' perspectives of growing up. The merits "Scissors" are its shock-based humor and quirk-laden characters wrapped in excellent story-telling. "Eye" is a good read even if you do not have AS, but is especially relatable if you do. Both brothers are very smart and talented. -

Tue, October 30, 2007 - 2:34 PM"Look Me In The Eye" ought to be required reading for Dino-Aspies, in that John Elder relates so many experiences that happened before Aspergers was a recognized diagnosis, thus, making him a member of the club by default.
You may want to Google his website, because he has a link to his father's faculty page. It may further support your theory that dad was an aspie, too.
Not to spoil the plot, but all the stuff about being on the road with KISS and working for Pink Floyd's company, I found to be pretty cool, but what really freaks me out is his obssession with LandRovers, which I have shared since I was a little kid.
