All my usual tribes have very old posts. It's like people wandered off. Any clue what it is?
I finally set my preferences to posts only, so I could see them all, but they are down to a trickle.

They are starting to arise, one by one. We have a hectic household here. My wife works and I look after three Children. One Girl and two boys. The 11 and the 2 year old boys are like me. We have Aspergers and the Girl is hard wired differently to us guys. I haven't even had time to sketch.............hehehehehe!
It is Winter here and Soccer Season as well!
Never a dull moment in this household!
We also have 4 cats, 3 Guinea Pigs, 1 Rabbit and 2 Horses.............I almost forgot the 3 goldfish

it always slows down in the summer. But this year it's way worse because alot of people can't even get on tribe. I can only get to my home page like 5% of the time. It makes me sad.

tribe is a trollhatten and people get tired of that and move on. I predicted a year ago that it would eventually sink, due to the inability of the admins to do anything about their troll problem.
people move on to places where they think that they can have something deeper without getting attacked all the time or facing dumbing down by jerks.

i have a bbs now i am just starting up. I'm an admin, so i can ban trolls.
Theres a long list of forums, so its not just one forum, but 40 of them on different topics, but more centralized and integrated than can happen on tribe. Plus so many other options and advantages. Including my admin hostess who can put up a wiki for us as soon as we really can use one. Brainstorm (brainfart) tribe- what a laugh. I asked them about wikis, they didn't get it, and then i had to deal with being ridiculed by trolls.
Why struggle? Why put myself through that?
Better to just find a place to meet my needs.

Summer. Tribe technical problems. It's been hard to get on at all in the last two weeks, much less read or post.

I set my controls to 'topics' instead of 'all posts' and it is easier to see and read...but it seems to have thrown a lot of people off track. when that feature came up, I didn't know I could avoid all the 'off topic' by clicking that tab.
do you do that too?
or are people really confused by the sudden barrage of posts that are not topics -

I live with my interface set on "topics", (and "newest first"), but then, I've looked at tribe pictures perhaps 3 times in all the years that I've been on tribe. I do change it around to "threaded" periodically when I'm not sure who's being responded to, but then I immediately flip it back.
Most of the other things that can show up in "all" aren't handled properly by the tribe software. You end up getting irrelevant things, location inappropriate things, many missing things, time sensitive things too early or too late, etc. It's bad enough that the other categories are pretty much useless, imo.
