I keep posting about how wonderful NLP has been for me and how useful it can be for aspies. So it occurs to me to ask...
If there existed classes for aspies, or workshops, what sorts of things would you like to learn in such a class? Flirting? How to navigate cocktail parties? Job interviews? If you could write a title or a syllabus for a 1 day workshop for aspies that you'd like to take... what would it look like?

Re: Classes for ASpies
Wed, May 2, 2007 - 9:21 PMoh right- well um- it's a class with people making out with each other- it's just it's femmes only- let's face it- i used to be a shitty kisser- and now i'm a man whom has been with women that would tell you i'm the best they'd ever had (and i didn't take the class HAH)-
then again as far as life skills i certainly wouldn't make out with the bosses i'd done temp assignments for- not only because i'm straight but i don't like those kind of jobs where a blowjob would get you a promotion....
Peace,

Re: Classes for ASpies
Sun, June 10, 2007 - 10:16 PMAh, hate to break it to you Mike but lesbians aren't just a "show" that exist for your entertainment. I've noticed in your other posts that your attitude toward, er, "chicks" isn't exactly the most respectful. Considering the diversity of people that is represented here, would you mind toning it down a little on these boards? Thanks. After all, aren't we here because we're looking for a group where we can feel safe, accepted and respected?
So...a class for Aspies, huh? I think that would involve a lot of training on how to move your body in space, what gestures mean what, when to make eye contact, and how to "read between the lines" and not take everything literally. A lot of role-playing where you pretend you're in a real-life situation and constructive advice on specific areas that could be improved upon. I can see a class where you discuss which activities calm you down and how to implement them in your life so your functionality improves. And yes, definitely a class on the very confusing world of dating.
